Locaflip app icon Location changer for iPhone · macOS 14 or later

Your iPhone’s location, set from your Mac.

Locaflip is a Mac app that changes the GPS location of the iPhone connected to it. Pick a spot or play a route — it uses the same Apple developer service as Xcode, with no jailbreak, no project, and no Terminal.

Free during the beta until December 31, 2026. No card needed.

The map, your route, and the connected iPhone’s status in one window.
Who it’s for

A tool for working with location

For when you need your iPhone to “be” somewhere else — without opening Xcode.

Development and testing

Check geofencing, location-based notifications, localized content, or navigation on a real device — without traveling and without changing your code.

Demos and recordings

Prepare a presentation or a screen recording of your app with a specific place and a route that plays out the same way every time.

Privacy

Some apps want your location even when they don’t need it to work. With Locaflip, you don’t have to give them the real one.

How it works

Change your iPhone’s location in three steps

No jailbreak, no profiles, no Terminal.

  1. Connect your iPhone

Use a cable to connect it to your Mac. The first time, unlock your iPhone, confirm that you trust the computer, and turn on Developer Mode. Locaflip walks you through it.

  2. Choose a place or a route

Click the map, enter coordinates, or plan a route between two addresses and start it.

  3. Done

Your iPhone reports the new location to every app. Locaflip keeps it there, even through a brief connection drop.

Go back anytime. Click Reset location, and your iPhone immediately returns to its real location.

Features

What Locaflip does

Everything you need to set a virtual (mock) GPS location on your iPhone. Nothing more.

Location

  • A point on the map. Click, and the location is set.
  • Coordinates. Enter latitude and longitude directly.
  • Instant reset. Return to your real location with one click.

Routes

  • Route planning between addresses by car, on foot, or by public transit.
  • Playback at a realistic speed for the mode of transport you choose.
  • Speed profiles for slower or faster runs.

Reliability

  • Location hold. Keeps the location steady and sets it again if the connection wavers.
  • A loud alarm. If the simulation drops, you know right away.

Library

  • Saved places and routes for scenarios you run again and again.
  • History of recently used locations.
  • GPX export for location simulation in Xcode.

Setup

  • One-click setup. The app installs the components it needs on its own.
  • No Terminal and no tools to install by hand.

Made for the Mac

  • Apple silicon and Intel.
  • iOS 17 and later, including iOS 26.
  • No jailbreak. Uses Apple’s official developer services.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Locaflip really free?

Yes. During the public beta, Locaflip is free with every feature until December 31, 2026. You don’t enter a payment card, and there’s no subscription that could renew.

What happens when the beta ends?

Beta license keys work until December 31, 2026 and then stop working. After that, Locaflip will be offered as a paid subscription; we’ll announce the paid version on this website. Nothing is charged automatically — you decide whether to subscribe.

Why do I need to enter my email?

Your license key is personal: we create it for your email address and send it there, so we can also send it again if you lose it. We don’t send marketing emails, and we don’t share your address for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.

macOS says Locaflip can’t be opened

During the free beta, Locaflip isn’t notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm it once. Click Done in the message, then Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Step-by-step instructions

Is Locaflip a location spoofer or fake GPS app for iPhone?

It does what people usually mean by those names, but it isn’t an app on your iPhone. Locaflip is a Mac app: it uses Apple’s developer location-simulation service — the one behind Simulate Location in Xcode — to set the GPS location of the iPhone connected by cable. Apps that read your location through iOS location services then receive the simulated coordinates. It’s built for development, testing, demos, and privacy, not for deceiving people.

Can I change my iPhone’s location without a jailbreak?

Yes. Locaflip doesn’t jailbreak anything and installs nothing on your iPhone. You need an iPhone with iOS 17 or later, Developer Mode turned on, a USB cable, and a Mac with macOS 14 or later.

Does it work with every app?

Locaflip changes the location that iOS location services report, so apps that ask iOS for your location get the simulated one. We can’t promise how a particular app behaves: apps can detect or forbid simulated locations, and some combine location with other signals, such as your IP address. Check the terms of the apps you use. We haven’t designed or tested Locaflip for Find My or location sharing.

What is Developer Mode, and why do I need it?

Developer Mode is an iOS setting that gives access to developer services — including the location simulation that Xcode also uses. Turn it on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode. Your iPhone restarts, and then you confirm.

Sometimes the setting appears only after the iPhone has been connected to a Mac with developer tools. Step-by-step guide

Does Locaflip permanently change anything on my iPhone?

No. Nothing is jailbroken, and no app or profile is installed on your iPhone. Locaflip uses Apple’s developer interface for location simulation. Click Reset location, and your iPhone immediately returns to its real location. You can turn Developer Mode off again at any time.

Do I need a computer? Does it work without a Mac?

You need a Mac. The simulation runs through it, so the Mac has to stay on and connected to your iPhone, with Locaflip open. Wi‑Fi support is in the works — you’ll still need the Mac.

How many Macs can I use my license on?

Two at the same time. When you switch Macs, choose Deactivate this Mac in Locaflip Settings on the old one and enter your key on the new one. If you no longer have the old Mac, contact us.

I lost my license key. What now?

On the Lost license key page, enter the email address you signed up with, and we’ll send the key again.

What data do you collect about me?

Only what we need to issue and verify your license: your email address and, when you activate a Mac, an anonymous fingerprint of it, its name, and the app version. We keep your IP address for a short time to prevent abuse.

The places and routes you set in Locaflip are not sent to our servers. Address search and route planning are provided by Apple Maps. This website uses no cookies or analytics; your language choice is remembered only in your browser. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.

What is Locaflip for — and what isn’t it for?

Locaflip is a tool for development, testing, presentations, and privacy. You’re responsible for how you use it: use it in line with the law and with the terms of the apps and services you work with. Some services explicitly prohibit changing your location in their terms.
