Beta Terms

1. Who runs the beta

The Locaflip beta is provided by Matěj Kmoch, Czech Republic (“we”). Contact: support@locaflip.com.

2. A free beta

• During the public beta, Locaflip with all its features is free of charge until 31 December 2026.
• You don’t enter a payment card, you don’t take out a subscription, and nothing renews or is charged automatically.
• To get a license key, you enter your email address. We create a personal key for it, show it to you on the website and also send it to that address.

3. Your license key

• The key is personal and non-transferable. Don’t share, sell, publish or pass it on to anyone else.
• You can use one key on at most 2 Macs at the same time. To switch Macs, choose Deactivate this Mac… in Locaflip Settings on the old one.
• We may deactivate a key that has been shared, published or otherwise misused.

4. Acceptable use

• Use Locaflip only lawfully and only with your own devices, or devices you are authorized to use.
• Respect the terms of the apps and services you use it with. Some services prohibit changing your location.
• Don’t use Locaflip for fraud, to deceive other people or to infringe their rights.
• Don’t circumvent or interfere with license verification, and don’t modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

5. Changes and the end of the beta

• Locaflip is beta software. Features may change, be added or removed, and the service may be interrupted.
• We may change or end the beta, including before 31 December 2026. We will announce this on this website.
• Beta license keys stop working after 31 December 2026 (or when the beta ends earlier). After that, the app no longer works with a beta key.
• After the beta, Locaflip will be offered as a paid subscription under separate Terms of Sale. You are not obliged to subscribe, and nothing is charged without your separate order.

6. No warranty

The beta is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that Locaflip will work without errors or interruptions, or that it will be suitable for a particular purpose or device. Locaflip relies on Apple’s developer services, which Apple may change at any time.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from the use of the free beta or from its unavailability. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or for harm to life or health), and it does not affect the statutory rights of consumers.

8. Activation and privacy

The app connects to our license server when you activate it and regularly afterwards to check that your key is valid. In doing so, it sends the license key, an anonymous fingerprint of your Mac, its name and the app version. How we process your email address and these data is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Ownership and third-party components

The app is protected by copyright. The beta key gives you only the right to use the app under these terms; it does not transfer ownership or any other rights. On first launch, the app downloads and installs third-party software components (including open-source libraries) needed to communicate with the iPhone; they are governed by their own licenses. Locaflip is not a product of Apple Inc. and is not affiliated with it.

10. Final provisions

• You can stop using Locaflip at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy).
• We may change these terms. We will announce changes on this website; the version shown here applies.
• These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. The mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of your habitual residence remain unaffected.
